Duties
- Lead end-to-end project management for warehouse automation initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather detailed requirements, define project scope, and develop comprehensive project plans utilizing tools like Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies while ensuring adherence to IT governance standards and best practices aligned with PMBOK guidelines.
- Oversee the integration of enterprise software solutions such as warehouse management systems (WMS), database technologies (SQL, Oracle), and cloud computing platforms (AWS) to support automation efforts.
- Coordinate software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities including requirements gathering, test case creation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release management to ensure seamless implementation.
- Supervise technical teams in executing system configurations, software implementation, disaster recovery planning, and IT infrastructure upgrades related to warehouse automation projects.
- Utilize project management tools like Jira, VersionOne, TFS (Team Foundation Server), and Kanban boards for tracking progress and facilitating agile planning sessions.
- Lead program management activities across multiple projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives while fostering leadership within project teams through effective communication and negotiation skills.
Experience
- Proven project management experience in technology environments with a focus on warehouse automation or enterprise solutions implementation.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing technical project teams involved in software development, hardware deployment, or IT infrastructure upgrades.
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, SAFe frameworks, along with PMBOK standards.
- Strong technical proficiency with enterprise software systems such as warehouse management systems (WMS), databases (SQL/Oracle), cloud computing platforms (AWS), and IT governance practices.
- Hands-on experience with project scheduling tools like Microsoft Project and Visio; familiarity with Jira, VersionOne, TFS for agile workflows is preferred.
- Skilled in requirements gathering, analysis skills for complex technical projects, user acceptance testing (UAT), test-driven development practices, and release management processes.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with effective communication skills to coordinate among stakeholders at all levels; ability to negotiate effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and IT governance standards essential for ensuring resilient automation solutions.
