Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, professional, and relationship-driven Hotel Sales Manager to support hotel sales, group business, client communication, lead follow-up, and revenue growth.
This position may also be referred to internally as a Junior Sales Manager and is ideal for someone who is ready to grow in hotel sales, learn full-service hotel business development, and support a busy property with rooms, meetings, conferences, events, and local account opportunities. The Hotel Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales, hotel leadership, operations team, and clients to help generate business and provide a professional sales experience from inquiry through execution.
Responsibilities
- Support hotel sales efforts for corporate accounts, government business, group rooms, meetings, events, and local market opportunities
- Respond to sales leads, inquiries, calls, and client requests in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with prospecting, account research, client outreach, and follow-up activity
- Help build relationships with local businesses, government contacts, meeting planners, organizations, and repeat clients
- Conduct site tours and represent the hotel professionally to prospective clients
- Prepare proposals, contracts, room block details, resumes, group notes, and basic event information as needed
- Support group bookings, room blocks, client communication, and internal handoff to hotel operations
- Partner with the Director of Sales, General Manager, front office, housekeeping, banquet, culinary, and accounting teams
- Maintain accurate client notes, sales activity, traces, booking details, and required documentation
- Assist with sales calls, local networking, community outreach, and business development efforts
- Help identify new business opportunities in the local market
- Follow up with clients before, during, and after stays or events to support guest satisfaction and repeat business
- Monitor upcoming groups, arrival details, billing needs, cutoff dates, special requests, and internal communication
- Support hotel revenue goals, sales goals, guest satisfaction, client retention, and repeat business
Qualifications
Required
- Previous sales, hotel, hospitality, customer service, event, administrative, or business development experience
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and professional presentation skills
- Ability to build relationships with clients, guests, local businesses, and team members
- Ability to manage multiple leads, deadlines, client needs, and operational details at the same time
- Strong attention to detail with proposals, contracts, room blocks, client notes, and follow-up tasks
- Comfortable making calls, sending professional emails, conducting follow-up, and speaking with prospective clients
- Ability to work closely with sales, front office, banquet, culinary, housekeeping, accounting, and hotel leadership teams
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel sales, catering, and property management systems
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
Preferred
- Previous hotel sales, group sales, catering sales, event sales, sales coordinator, or front office leadership experience
- Experience with Marriott, Delta Hotels by Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or other branded hotel standards
- Experience with hotel property management systems, sales systems, lead platforms, or customer relationship tools
- Experience supporting group rooms, corporate accounts, government business, meetings, conferences, weddings, or social events
- Knowledge of the Oklahoma City, Midwest City, Tinker Air Force Base, government, corporate, sports, or local group market
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus
Schedule
- Flexible schedule based on business and client needs
- Primarily weekday schedule
- Occasional evenings, weekends, or event coverage may be required based on hotel activity
Job Type
Pay
- $45,000 per year, based on experience
- Eligible for additional quarterly and annual sales incentive compensation under the approved hotel sales incentive plan, with total incentive opportunity of up to 30% of base salary based on achievement of approved hotel sales goals and company incentive plan guidelines
