Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing personalized service to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures consistently to ensure quality and safety
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling food items or snacks in accordance with health guidelines
Qualifications
- Prior barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and basic math for transactions
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
