Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Infant Teacher, working Monday through Friday with a focus on nurturing and guiding infants from birth to age two. This role offers a CDA (Child Development Associate) credential class to support your professional growth. As an Infant Teacher, you will create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that promotes early development milestones, literacy foundations, and positive behavior management. Your energetic approach will inspire young learners and foster their curiosity, ensuring they feel valued and supported every day.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to infant developmental stages, incorporating early intervention strategies and literacy education principles.
- Provide attentive toddler care by supporting physical development, sensory exploration, and emotional security.
- Manage classroom routines, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
- Apply behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation among infants.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, milestones, and any concerns in accordance with mandated reporting laws.
- Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods or other child-centered educational approaches when appropriate.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and child welfare practices is essential.
- Experience with curriculum development, standardized testing for early learners, and teaching physical education or math to young children is advantageous.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy instruction enhances your ability to support diverse learners.
- Strong communication skills are vital for working effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Certification or coursework related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, or preschool teaching is a plus.
