Job Summary
Warehouse Associate – Picking, Packing & Shipping Position Overview: We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals for a physically demanding warehouse position responsible for picking, packing, loading, and unloading furniture and carton shipments. This role is essential to ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and shipped efficiently. This position requires consistent physical work, including lifting heavy cartons, loading trucks, and moving inventory throughout the warehouse. While pallet jacks and forklifts are available, much of the work involves manual handling of products. Successful candidates take pride in doing the job right, stay focused in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to a productive warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately using NetSuite WMS scanning systems
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Verify items and quantities using barcode scanners and pick tickets
- Organize and stage shipments for outgoing freight carriers
- Maintain accuracy when sorting and staging inventory
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as required
- Keep warehouse aisles, staging areas, and docks clean and organized
- Work efficiently to meet daily shipping and receiving goals
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for an entire shift
- Comfortable performing continuous physical labor in a warehouse environment
- Capable of safely handling large cartons and furniture items
Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse picking, packing, shipping, or logistics preferred
- Ability to operate or learn NetSuite WMS or barcode scanning systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with inventory
- Basic math, reading, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
