American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability and an active NC or compact RN license.

Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
-
10-bed unit serving obstetrical patients
-
Patient ratios vary by stage of labor, ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Weekends required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating may be required
-
Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
-
Meditech EMR preferred; onsite training available if needed
-
Active NC or compact state RN license required
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
-
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Current NRP certification required
-
Current ACLS certification required (must be obtained within the last 6 months)

CPI certification required and must be in hand prior to start

Two professional references required for consideration

Valid Driver's License and Social Security card copies required for consideration

Provides direct care to obstetrical patients, including assessment, medication administration, order execution, and care evaluation

Responsible for documenting care provided and communicating effectively with the care team

Care is delivered in adherence to all hospital policies and accreditation standards

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
