We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for promoting oral health and delivering exceptional patient care through comprehensive dental hygiene services. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct initial patient assessments, including vital signs measurement and medical history review, to ensure safe treatment planning.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) utilizing dental imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to uphold the highest standards of infection control.
- Monitor patient comfort throughout treatments, provide chairside assistance, and manage patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Experience with dental equipment operation, including X-ray machines and other clinical tools.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
- Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance management.
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Must be puntual and motivated
