Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Telehealth Therapist to join our innovative mental health team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via telehealth to determine mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention techniques promptly and effectively to ensure client safety during emergencies or acute episodes.
- Document all clinical interactions accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, case managers, and medical professionals—to coordinate patient care and support co-occurring disorders management.
- Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical record keeping and billing purposes.
- Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health, telehealth therapy, and evidence-based interventions.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy across diverse populations with a focus on children, adolescents, or geriatrics.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and motivation for change.
- Strong background in child & family counseling, working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Knowledge of crisis management strategies tailored for mental health emergencies within telehealth settings.
- Familiarity with clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and manage complex cases involving co-occurring disorders such as addiction or PTSD.
- Experience with clinical research methodologies and data collection to inform treatment approaches.
- Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, and collaborative case management.
- Competency in utilizing telehealth platforms effectively while maintaining patient confidentiality and engagement.
