What We're Looking For:
Santé is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to serve as a strategic partner to our CEO and Board of Directors while personally leading the financial operations of a growing, grant-funded, Medicaid-reimbursed nonprofit across 18+ locations. This is a working executive's position — you will own financial strategy in the boardroom AND lead hands-on accounting operations, audits, and board reporting everywhere else.
What You'll Do:
Financial Strategy & Board Partnership

Serve as strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Directors on financial vision, reserve building, and funding diversification with concrete dollar targets

Deliver Board and Finance Committee reporting that translates complex financials into clear, actionable insight

Identify opportunities to strengthen Santé's financial position and diversify revenue beyond government funding
Accounting Operations

Personally lead monthly close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Oversee full accounting operations for a multi-site organization, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and financial integrity

Lead annual audit preparation and execution
Grants, Medicaid & Compliance

Manage grant and government funding compliance including Medicaid reimbursement, state and county contracts, federal grants, and restricted funding

Partner with Program Leadership, HR, and other stakeholders to support billing accuracy, documentation, and audit readiness

Ensure financial practices align with HIPAA, Medicaid, and licensing requirements
Leadership & Team Development

Lead and develop a lean, capable finance team

Translate financial concepts into plain language for non-financial leaders and staff

Stay current on healthcare and nonprofit finance trends
What We Require:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university, AND senior financial leadership experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or social services organization. Hands-on operational CFO (or equivalent) experience with grants, Medicaid, or government-funded environments strongly preferred. CPA or Master's degree a plus.
