Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Regional HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment across multiple customer locations within the assigned region. This position requires extensive field experience, strong diagnostic abilities, and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, package units, chillers, walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
- Recover, evacuate, charge, and leak-test refrigerant systems in accordance with EPA regulations.
- Inspect equipment and identify necessary repairs or replacement recommendations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
- Install and troubleshoot thermostats, economizers, sensors, motors, compressors, VFDs, and building automation controls.
- Complete startup and commissioning of newly installed HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and work orders using mobile service software.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment condition, repair options, and preventative maintenance recommendations.
- Coordinate with dispatch, project managers, and service coordinators to complete scheduled work efficiently.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, inventory, and safety equipment.
- Travel throughout the assigned region and occasionally work overnight when project schedules require.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration service experience.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, controls, and mechanical components.
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment from manufacturers such as Carrier, Trane, Lennox, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Rheem, Copeland, Hussmann, True, Turbo Air, or Manitowoc.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening where required.

- Frequently bend, kneel, crawl, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperature-controlled environments, including refrigerated spaces.
Travel
Daily travel throughout the assigned region.
