POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Waco, TX facility manufactures aluminum ends/lids for beverage cans commonly used for soft drinks, beers, energy drinks, teas and non-carbonated beverages. Using state of the art end-making technology, this high-speed environment provides rewarding manufacturing opportunities.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a high-volume aluminum end manufacturing plant. This role is essential for ensuring the reliable operation of our high-speed manufacturing equipment, specifically the Shell Press and Conversion machinery. The Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled professional responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and complex repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and maintain world-class production rates.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
-
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience serving as a trade or mechanical technician in a related industry is required in lieu of a formal degree.

Aptitude: Strong spatial reasoning, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.

Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment.

Degree: Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Electro-Mechanical Technology.

Industry Experience: 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance specifically within a manufacturing operation.

Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of mechanical engineering designs and experience maintaining motor controls and complex industrial installations.

Technical Literacy: Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Understanding manufacturing processes.

Prefer data collection and analysis experience in a high-volume automated manufacturing environment.

Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information.

Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production.

Ability to understand and interpret technical manuals, 2D drawings, P&IDs, fluid and electrical
schematics and other engineering documentation.

Proven understanding of BOMs, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly
methods, design reviews and cost reduction methodologies.

HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
This position is 12 hour rotating shifts 4 days on and 4 days off; Rotating shifts requires working night shifts; Present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; Schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which may include long days, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime; Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
