WHAT YOU WILL DO
The dedicated AV Maintenance Engineer will primarily support a high‑end immersive event center for an established professional services client. The role is 100% onsite at a client location in New York City. This key role is responsible for:

Overseeing the AV technical operations in a digital immersive client event environment with interactive spaces, ensuring all systems are prepared and functioning at a high level;

Supporting AV technical sessions and events in a professional and polished manner

Serve as the primary technical AV escalation point, providing expert guidance and support on immersive digital display technologies, content, and AV system performance.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
AV Technical Management in an immersive digital client environment
-
Support Digital displays and walls, interactive touch panels, Alleo, Cyviz, Cisco, Crestron processors, BrightSign, and Appspace content.

Collaborate closely with client and remote technical team to support AV operations and optimization of event spaces, DVLEDs, and interactive installations.

Participate in regularly scheduled Microsoft Teams meetings with client and remote technical team to ensure alignment and functionality for upcoming events.

Assist with the development of best practices for client event spaces.
-
Perform daily AV preventative maintenance health checks for operational functionality.
-
Serve as the initial escalation point of contact for all AV equipment troubleshooting, service, and maintenance needs, coordinating with internal and client engineering teams and integrators as required.

Make sure all discrepancies are communicated and resolved to the clients’ satisfaction in a timely manner.

Support high-level client events with professional customer engagement skills.

Provide guidance to the client for upcoming events and analyze post-mortems to make recommendations for future improvements.

Provide support for traditional AV devices and software elsewhere in the client facility – to include assisting with AV break/fix activities.

Utilize the client’s ServiceNow ticketing system and activity log trackers daily.
Operational Support
Fulfill AV needs for client meetings, including but not limited to:

DVLED video wall and touch panel operation.
-
Video wall windowing and presentation controllers
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-have skills & job qualifications
-
3+ years of AV experience in onsite and virtual hybrid live events.
-
Required experience with digital display technologies, Appspace and BrightSign; supporting executive-level AV events and client walkthroughs with polish.
-
Knowledge of AV troubleshooting and digital immersive meeting spaces.
-
Experience with DVLED video wall deployment and maintenance (NanoLumens), Cyviz windowing/presentation controllers, and touch-enabled DVLED systems.

Excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills with an understanding of the importance of white-glove service.

Knowledgeable of HDMI ingest devices and basic AV network signal path troubleshooting.

Experience with audio network routing, presets, and gain structure, Shure wireless microphone coverage, pairing, frequency management, and troubleshooting.

Experience supporting divisible rooms, source switching, and basic AV control system usage.
-
Familiarity with AV over IP concepts, including Crestron DM/NVX VLANs and control network segmentation.

Experience with performing daily AV health checks, cable termination, Cisco Room Series devices (codecs, mics, cameras), and Barco/Planar video wall systems.

A track record of being organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and working well in a team atmosphere, as well as having the capability to work well individually, is essential.

Nice-to-have skills

Experience with interactive installations, content workflows, or architectural media.

AV Field Service Break-Fix experience.

Additional AV certifications such as Dante3, Crestron NVX, Cisco, Extron, AVIXA CTS, BrightSign, and Appspace.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.

Ability to climb ladders and perform overhead work.

Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Available to work outside standard business hours and overtime when needed. All overtime hours are paid in accordance with applicable laws.
