Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems to restore optimal vehicle performance.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Repair or replace automotive components including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, auto body parts, and electrical systems with precision.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles meet quality standards before returning to customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including engines, powertrains, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical components.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, auto estimating software, GM vehicles (or similar brands), and heavy equipment mechanics is a plus.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems along with experience in auto body repair or maintenance is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients about their vehicle’s needs.
