Position Overview:
Nomax, Inc. is currently seeking a production mechanic to join our team. We are looking for someone with a strong background with maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment. Candidates should possess the training and experience to safely troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for completion of scheduled work assignments, including, but not limited to production equipment, fabrication, PM's, and new equipment installations. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive industrial maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, machinery, or equipment.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools.
- Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Follow all established safety, health, quality, GMP and Company policies/procedures and recognized practices.
- Follow all aspects of the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program.
- Teamwork and maintaining a positive productive attitude.
- Required to move frequently, stand, and walk. Use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance.
- Sound decision making and problem-solving skills to choose the best solution.
- Strong pneumatic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Mechanic: 3-5 years experience preferred
- GMP experience preferred
