Previous warehouse janitorial experience is a plus, but we are willing to train highly motivated candidates. Excellent attendance and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards are critical to this role.
What You’ll Do:
As a Warehouse Porter, you’ll be an essential part of our team, ensuring that warehouse is up to great condition for safety and sanity standards. You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of a warehouse facility. This includes tasks like cleaning floors, vacuuming, emptying trash, and assisting with the movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in warehouse areas, including floors, break rooms, and offices.
- Remove trash and recycling, and ensure proper disposal in accordance with company and environmental guidelines.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum warehouse and office floors as needed.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces, and common areas according to company hygiene protocols and local sanitary codes.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, health, and sanitary codes relevant to warehouse operations.
- Respond to spills, leaks, and urgent cleaning issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist in general warehouse upkeep, including exterior grounds and loading dock cleanliness.
- Support warehouse staff with basic facility-related tasks as directed.
What You Need:
- Ability to speak and read English.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Warehouse, fulfillment, or inventory experience is a plus, but not required.
Schedule & Pay:
Full-time: Monday - Friday (5 day work day)
- Schedule: 9am - 5:30pm
- Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience, with opportunities for growth)
