We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support high-impact planning, reporting, and decision-making activities in Ohio. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can turn complex financial data into clear business insights and build models that guide strategic recommendations. The role will partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate performance, investigate trends, and deliver timely analysis that supports operational and financial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models that support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning for key business initiatives.
- Analyze financial results against plans and prior periods, identifying drivers behind variances and summarizing findings for stakeholders.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions, evaluate opportunities, and support leadership decisions with data-backed recommendations.
- Review and organize large data sets to uncover trends, risks, and performance patterns that influence financial outcomes.
- Prepare recurring and on-demand reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate financial insights in a clear and actionable way.
- Collaborate with business partners across finance and operations to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and improve analytical accuracy.
- Use advanced Excel capabilities to streamline analysis, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance the reliability of financial outputs.
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a closely related analytical role.
- Demonstrated ability to build and interpret financial models for planning, forecasting, and business evaluation.
- Strong background in variance analysis with the ability to explain performance drivers clearly and concisely.
- Experience conducting ad hoc financial analysis to support evolving business priorities and leadership requests.
- Proficiency in data mining techniques and working with large, complex data sets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create efficient and accurate analytical tools.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
