Program Director – Behavioral Health / Substance Use Disorder

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and compassionate Program Director to oversee the daily operations of our outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment program.
In this leadership role, you will supervise staff, ensure high-quality client care, maintain regulatory compliance, and help guide the continued growth of the program. You'll work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to create a positive environment for both clients and employees while ensuring the program operates efficiently and in accordance with all state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the outpatient program.
- Supervise, mentor, and support clinical and administrative staff.
- Hire, onboard, train, and evaluate team members.
- Review participant treatment plans for quality and compliance.
- Ensure assessments, treatment planning, case management, and therapy services are delivered according to program standards.
- Monitor documentation and conduct regular chart audits.
- Maintain compliance with Arkansas licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and company policies.
- Prepare reports for regulatory and licensing agencies.
- Coordinate staff meetings and promote ongoing staff development.
- Assign caseloads and monitor service quality.
- Assist with client admissions, referrals, and community outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve program performance and client outcomes.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clinical and administrative departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or Counselor-in-Training certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Program Director or leadership experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment.
- Experience working in mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
- Knowledge of outpatient treatment operations, licensing requirements, quality assurance, utilization review, and program management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively while independently managing multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
