Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Worker-Opener to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for opening our childcare facility each morning, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Responsibilities
- Welcome children and families as the first point of contact each morning, establishing a warm and trusting atmosphere
- Supervise children during arrival routines, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Prepare classroom materials and activities aligned with early childhood development standards
- Implement age-appropriate child supervision strategies, including toddler care and preschool activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom environment to promote safety and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents about daily activities, developmental milestones, and any concerns
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and report any incidents or concerns promptly
- Assist with basic classroom management, behavior guidance, and implementing educational programs focused on childhood development
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction, early childhood education principles, and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, or similar safety training is required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the childcare environment
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm
