Responsibilities - What you’ll do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Provide statewide outreach to agriculture organizations, employers, and job seekers to inform them of the services available through the Agriculture Employment Services (AES) program
- Assist Agricultural Employers in Missouri with enrollment in jobs.mo.gov, E-Verify and labor recruitment
- Provide outreach to migrant and seasonal farmworkers to inform them of the programs and services available to them through the Missouri Job Centers at farm locations and events.
- Work with migrant and seasonal job seekers to assist them with training and employment opportunities and registration in the MoJobs system
- Prepare and monitor agricultural job orders
- Maintain computer updates and required paperwork
- Attend specialized recruitments, job fairs, conferences, training opportunities and hiring events
- Develop handouts, flyers and presentations in the various Microsoft Office products
- Consult with supervisor on matters involving policy, procedure and operations
- Consult and coordinate with the State Monitor Advocate on matters involving migrant and seasonal farmworkers
- Make recommendations regarding operation of the Agricultural Employment Service Program
- Monitor local recruitment and referring employers to State Monitor Advocate for Intra/Interstate orders
- Provide information to State Monitor Advocate regarding recruitment needs
- Provide daily, monthly and quarterly reports and updates, as needed
- Coordinate with the Foreign Labor Certification (FLC) program staff, as needed
- Provide services to other job seekers and employers at the job center, as needed
- Respond verbally and/or in writing to inquiries by using knowledge (policy/procedures, answering questions directly)
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other related work as assigned
Qualifications - All you need for success
- Beneficial education and/or work-related experience includes technical or professional experience in business, personnel, public administration, or closely related area, including military service.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish Speaking) required
- Valid Missouri driver’s license
