Summary:
This position is for a scheduler within the crude trading and marketing organization. Duties include both daily operational and monthly scheduling responsibilities. Strong communication skills are needed for both internal and external contacts. This is a fast-paced position with constant changes to meet customer and market demands.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as subject matter expert for scheduling terminals and pipelines receipts and deliveries
Provide analytical support to traders including publishing daily position reporting
Coordinate monthly operational plans and ensure feasibility
Coordinate with lease team to ensure volume estimates are accurate
Confirm purchases and sales with customers for upcoming month and identifying discrepancies in a timely manner
Submit accurate monthly nominations and revisions as needed
Review statements and invoices; reconcile monthly pipeline and terminal statements to nominations
Maintain scheduled volumes/inventory in our scheduling system and proactively managing required inventories
Tracking receipts and deliveries including quality, to ensure nominations are met for the month
Provide accounting with required support documentation
Provide coverage for other scheduling areas as needed

5-8 years of crude oil industry experience is preferred
Other Requirements:
Ability to work weekends with 24/7 availability to handle scheduling responsibilities
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
Must possess strong planning and problem-solving skills
Work environment which requires the ability to balance multiple tasks and make decisions under tight deadlines
Strong knowledge of typical crude oil trading contracts
Must be detail-oriented
Desire to work in a team environment
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
The Associate Scheduler requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of directly related experience in either scheduling or other energy industry business activities.
The Scheduler level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of directly related experience in either scheduling or other energy industry business activities
The Sr Scheduler level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of directly related experience in either scheduling or other energy industry business activities
