Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, ensuring smooth shift transitions, and maintaining high standards of service.
- Oversee food preparation and kitchen activities to guarantee quality, safety, and efficiency in line with food safety management protocols.
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately, handle cash responsibly, and monitor sales performance.
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste.
- Train and develop team members on food handling, customer service excellence, and operational procedures to foster a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Support management in budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices across all areas of the restaurant.
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively, including interviewing, training, and performance management.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; solid cash handling skills.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety management, inventory control, and food production processes.
- Strong leadership skills with excellent communication abilities in managerial contexts; capable of managing hospitality teams confidently.
- Experience in managing hospitality operations within casual dining or fine dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math for budgeting, sales tracking, and profit analysis; adept at shift management and coordinating staff schedules.
