We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our growing service team. This position is intended for technicians who can work independently, diagnose complex mechanical and refrigeration systems, and provide exceptional customer service without direct supervision.

Position Summary
As a Journeyman Service Technician, you will be responsible for independently inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, commissioning, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment for a wide variety of customers throughout Washington.
Equipment includes:
- Commercial rooftop units
- Split systems and heat pumps
- Hydronic heating and cooling systems
- Boilers
- Walk-in coolers and freezers
- Reach-in refrigeration equipment
- Refrigeration condensing units and controls
- Ice machines
- Centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating chillers
- Cooling towers and condenser water systems
- Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Commercial exhaust and ventilation equipment
Our technicians service schools, government agencies, industrial facilities, manufacturers, commercial office buildings, marine applications, and commercial refrigeration customers throughout Washington.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for an experienced technician who can:
- Independently diagnose and repair commercial HVAC/R systems
- Read wiring diagrams, control schematics, and mechanical drawings
- Commission new equipment and verify proper operation
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings and repair recommendations
- Complete electronic service reports accurately and thoroughly
- Manage service calls with minimal supervision while representing TRS Mechanical professionally
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Journeyman-level commercial HVAC/R service experience
- Valid Washington State 06A HVAC/Refrigeration Electrical Specialty License
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
- Current membership in UA Local 32, or the ability to become a member as a condition of employment

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $73.00 per hour, paid in accordance with the applicable UA Local 32 wage scale. Starting pay is based on experience, qualifications, and union classification.
This is a union position. Medical, dental, vision, retirement, pension, and other negotiated benefits are administered through UA Local 32.
