We are seeking a dedicated Senior Fire System Technician to join our team for a full-time, on-site position. You will be responsible for servicing commercial and industrial properties throughout the Kansas City Metro area. Your daily tasks will involve the installation, testing, inspection, and repair of life safety and fire alarm equipment, as well as managing device and panel programming. Compensation for this role ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, determined by your professional background and current certifications.

Primary Duties

Ensure commercial and industrial facilities remain safe by installing, testing, and repairing fire alarm and life safety equipment.

Improve system reliability by accurately diagnosing faults in circuits, devices, and panels using technical schematics.

Configure fire alarm panels, suppression system interfaces, notification appliances, and initiating devices.

Maintain high standards of record-keeping by producing detailed service reports and deficiency documentation.

Foster a culture of safety and excellence by mentoring junior staff and coordinating efficient project schedules with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

Extensive field experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of fire alarm systems.

Comprehensive understanding of NFPA 101, NFPA 72, and relevant local fire and building safety regulations.

Proficiency in interpreting complex technical documentation, riser diagrams, and electrical schematics.

Maintain precise documentation to ensure all client paperwork and service logs are error-free.

Possession of a clean driver's license and the ability to commute to sites across the Kansas City region.
Preferred Skills

NICET Level II certification or higher in Fire Alarm Systems.

Documented expertise with major platforms like Siemens, EST, Gamewell-FCI, Silent Knight, Simplex, or Notifier.

Technical proficiency with kitchen hood, clean agent, and pre-action suppression system interfaces.

Experience integrating mass notification systems, sprinkler monitoring, and low-voltage infrastructure.

Proven history of leading service routes or providing mentorship to less experienced technicians.
Physical Demands
