The housekeeping supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. The supervisor will be in charge of making the boards for the housekeepers every day, inspecting rooms, coordinating public area cleanings, and assisting housekeepers when needed. The housekeeping supervisor will also be asked to do special projects based on seasonal needs.
Tasks and Responsibilities
· Create the housekeeping boards every morning.
· Inspect rooms to make sure they meet company standards.
· Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
· Make sure all public areas are done daily to company standards.
· Create and maintain accountability within the housekeeping department.
· Assist guests with any complaints/requests in a professional and polite manner.
· Check inventory levels and make sure they are ready for following day.
· Stock inventory in cart rooms.
· Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
Requirements
· Self-motivated, ability to work with little supervision.
· Strong leadership and motivational skills.
· Guest oriented and friendly to guests as well as coworkers.
· Work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
· Strong time management skills.
· Flexible schedule and reliable.
· Be able to lift 25 pounds.
