Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Office Receptionist to join our vibrant pediatric dental team! Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment scheduling.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims.
- Maintain accurate patient records by reviewing documentation for completeness and ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies.
- Schedule appointments efficiently.
- Support clinical staff by managing medical records, filing documents, and assisting with intake procedures.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for seamless data entry and management.
- Ensure excellent patient service through attentive communication, phone etiquette, and problem-solving skills.
- Assist in office management tasks such as filing, maintaining supplies, and ensuring the front desk operates smoothly.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a medical receptionist or dental receptionist in a clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, health information management, and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is advantageous.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes.
- Strong clerical skills including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and handling multi-line phone systems.
- Bilingual abilities are a requirement to effectively serve diverse patient populations.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with a friendly demeanor to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
