Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate bakery associate to join our team at our family owned bakery. You will be responsible for working with customers to take/fill their bakery order, baking & decorating custom cakes and treats as well as other duties.
Responsibilities:
- Bake and decorate custom cakes/pastries/treats. Proficient with buttercream technique is required.
- Provide excellent customer services by taking orders from customers (in person, telephone, online etc).
- Filling orders as requested by the customer (in person, telephone, online etc)
- Preparing bakery items as needed. Merchandising baked items in display cases.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and fulfilling customer orders
- Package and present baked goods in an appealing manner
Requirements:.
- MUST have at least 1 year of baking/cake decorating experience and proficiency with buttercream technique. Resume submitted MUST include this experience to be considered.
- Punctuality/dependability is vital. Some shifts could start before the bakery opens at 7am so being an early riser is a must!
-We are open 7 days week. This position is for 5 days a week. Those days will rotate/vary each week. Weekends are rotated. Bakery hours are Monday 7am-3pm, Tues-Fri 7am-6pm, Saturday 8am-6pm, Sunday 8am-3pm. You may be put on the schedule before opening hours for prep work.
- Excellent customer service is a MUST!
- Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
-Must be clean and presentable as you’ll be working with food.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, day time, weekends, and holidays as required
Pay range is $16 - $17/ hour and that includes tip sharing. Paid weekly.
