Job Overview
Chef Tim Love is looking to hire friendly and energetic Hosts to be the welcoming faces of our newest location, Meraki. As a Host, you will create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests, ensuring they feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. Your role is essential in managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to keep the flow of service smooth and enjoyable. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and passionate about providing excellent guest experiences in a lively hospitality setting.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures to ensure a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Toast POS system and TOCK.
- Coordinate seating arrangements with the dining team to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Answer phone inquiries politely, providing information about wait times, reservations, or menu options.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring all materials are stocked and presentable.
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their overall experience.
- Support the restaurant team during busy hours by communicating guest needs clearly and promptly.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Host or in a customer service role within food service or hospitality is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow smoothly.
- Knowledge of Toast POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to remain calm and friendly under pressure during busy service times.
- Experience working in restaurants or hotels enhances understanding of guest services and hospitality standards.
