Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and manage their arrival experience
- Handle restaurant reservation management using industry-standard systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about wait times and reservation details with professional phone etiquette
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest services by addressing inquiries and ensuring smooth flow of service
- Support food safety protocols and uphold cleanliness standards in the host/hostess area
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and seating calculations
- Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
