Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling efficiently to optimize clinic flow
- Collect and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking blood samples, administering medications, and preparing patients for exams or procedures
- Support intake processes by reviewing medical histories, updating records, and ensuring accurate ICD coding for billing purposes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, including exam rooms and equipments when applicable
- Manage administrative duties including answering phones, checking patients in/out, handling referrals, and managing patient correspondence
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within outpatient or hospital environments
- Familiarity with EHR systems, ICD coding, vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic physiology and anatomy knowledge
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment while maintaining attention to detail
