Duties
- Safely operate late model Class A commercial trucks with automatic transmission across national routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Operate tanker trailers to deliver various freight types including liquids, fuels and other bulk materials.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and safely using product transfer hoses and hydraulic pumps, ensuring proper handling of sensitive and hazardous materials while avoiding product spillage or environmental impacts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency, adhering to any product or vehicle routing restrictions and minimizing delays.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries smoothly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
- TWIC card or ability to obtain TWIC card after hiring.
- Minimum two years proven experience in truck driving, preferably with tanker or freight delivery routes.
- Familiarity with tractor-trailer operations.
- Ability to handle tankers, product transfer hoses, hydraulics pumps, and ability to ascend the trailer to verify product has been completely emptied from the tanks.
- Experience with load & unload procedures using product transfer hoses and pumps.
- Strong knowledge of route planning and safety protocols for commercial driving as well as safe handling of bulk petroleum products and hazardous materials.
- Physical ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and handle cargo loading tasks safely.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
