Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Completing all prep work required for service.
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the bistro kitchen team.
- Answer, report and follow sous and executive chef's instructions.
- Break down and clean station at the end of service or the end of shift.
- Keep inventory stocked appropriately while communicating order needs to the chef.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Be punctual and communicate any need for time off or schedule changes appropriately.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook.
- excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Works well with other team members & front of house staff to deliver all food orders in a timely manner.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals with a base in French knowledge that exceed customer expectations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have precious fine dining experience.
