We are a a single dentist and true private practice under new ownership looking to build a team that wants to stay for many years to come. Smaller and slower paced office in the most beautiful neighborhood in Erie, CO and located in a fantastic building. Experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate to help them grow in their hygiene career. Currently using Open Dental for our software.

In this role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health and support our patients through education and compassionate service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure each patient receives top-quality care while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and safety.
Duties
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent disease and promote oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and dental records to create appropriate treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment notes, and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments, preparing treatment areas, and following strict aseptic techniques.
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation review
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures to ensure precise communication and effective patient care.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients to create a comfortable environment for children.
- Familiarity with infection control standards, sterilization processes, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on assessment, communication, and education tailored to diverse patient needs.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging techniques relevant to dental practice. Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
