Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, and food prep tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by following food safety procedures and sanitizing protocols.
- Assist with food presentation and plating to meet visual standards and customer expectations.
- Support meal preparation for catering events or high-volume service periods while adhering to recipe guidelines.
- Handle food safely during all stages of preparation, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices.
- Skills in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and experience in fine dining or high-volume production environments are advantageous.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility during busy service times.
