Job Summary
TWIC REQUIRED. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across various routes. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—mostly containers —will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage route driving efficiently by planning schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or unforeseen delays.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license
- Hands-on experience operating various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route management, and adherence to traffic laws.
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues proactively.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
- Twic card mandatory
