Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 2 Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for education. In this role, you will create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance student understanding and participation.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students requiring additional assistance or early intervention services.
- Collaborate with special education teams to adapt lessons for students with autism or other learning differences.
- Mentor new teachers and assist in curriculum development initiatives to improve instructional quality.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood or elementary settings is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with classroom management techniques that promote respectful behavior and active engagement.
- Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, and library services to support comprehensive learning.
- Proven ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education accommodations.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
- Experience using learning technology tools and implementing lesson planning strategies that incorporate modern educational methods such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches is preferred. Pay: $51,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
