This position reports directly to the Sand & Gravel Manager.
Overview of Duties

Assist in assuring smooth operation at the quarry location

Maintain continuous improvement efforts to ensure the location operates at optimal effectiveness and efficiency

Help maintain a culture focused upon safety and health, as well as compliance with company and regulatory safety, health, and environmental standards

Work with other Quarry Managers and Werner Supervisors to ensure timely production of material

Consistently produce high quality material while minimizing waste
-
Balance Werner Construction, Inc’s needs and customer needs with production capabilities & inventory levels
-
Follow an effective maintenance program to ensure that assets are maintained and work ready.
Essential Experience and Skills
-
3 or more years of production experience in sand & gravel, must have dredging experience
-
Strong working knowledge of all aspects of aggregate production - equipment, processes, quality standards and production capabilities

Understanding of safety and environmental regulations
Preferred Experience and Skills

Stripping overburden and reclamation of material

Mechanical experience
