Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Shipper to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management. This role requires proficiency with computer systems, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of shipments. The Shipper will play a key role in maintaining smooth warehouse distribution processes and supporting e-commerce order fulfillment.
Duties
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to move stock efficiently within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Manage warehouse inventory using Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AS400 systems
- Pick, pack, and process orders accurately for shipping and delivery
- Stock shelves and organize products for easy access during order picking
- Assist with order picking using RF scanners and other tools to ensure timely dispatch
- Maintain accurate records of shipments using MRP systems and other software tools
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all warehouse activities
- Support warehouse distribution operations by coordinating with other departments as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, or warehouse management
- Proficiency with forklift operation, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS), AS400, and MRP software systems
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including stocking, picking & packing, and load & unload procedures
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurements
- Experience with e-commerce order processing is a plus
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order processing
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shift shifts may be required
