Overview
Williamstown Methodist Church is seeking a nursery attendant to work each Sunday from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. **THIS POSITION IS FOR ROUGHLY 2 HOURS PER WEEK ON SUNDAYS. SALARY WILL BE A SET AMOUNT EACH WEEK TO REMAIN CONSISTENT** Typically there will be anywhere from one to five children ages one through four in the class. A church member will be assisting each week. Duties entail teaching a short lesson to the children, (lesson will already be prepared- you do not have to create one), helping the children with a craft (craft supplies also provided), having snack time (snacks provided) and then watching children during playtime. This is an ideal position for someone looking for a few extra hours of income each week! If selected, an applicant will have to undergo a background check the church will pay for. Please provide three character references we can reach out to.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children during play, learning activities, and daily routines
- Ensure a safe environment by maintaining classroom cleanliness, organization, and adhering to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians
