Job description:
Our expanding A2LA ISO/IEC 17025–accredited calibration division is looking for skilled technicians to support instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair operations.
Working with minimal supervision, the technician will be responsible for:
- Calibrating, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on IM&TE in accordance with established procedures
- Identifying and documenting nonconforming conditions
- Completing repairs necessary to restore instruments to compliance
- Traveling to customer sites, as needed, to perform these services (all travel expenses paid)
Critical Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to strictly follow calibration procedures using calibration management software
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical and/or mechanical fields
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Training / Experience (or equivalent):
- Formal advanced metrology training (such as military PMEL or AFMETCAL programs)
- Experience performing equipment calibration both in a laboratory setting and on-site
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and other quality management systems
- Familiarity with metrology tools and calibration software
- Understanding of electrical and physical/dimensional principles
