Job Focus: Under instructional director supervision, provides general administrative and instructional support to the Culinary Arts program.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Provide administrative and instructional support as assigned.
2. Provide excellent customer service to UBTech Café customers, students, faculty, staff, and the community.
3. Monitor student activities and help ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
4. Complete opening and closing procedures for the café including food prep, stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, food storage
5. Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff (including students)
6. Ensure customers’ orders are served both timely and of high quality
7. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
8. Maintain confidentiality of information and follow policy regarding the release of information
9. Attend all institutional activities, functions, events and meetings as appropriate
10. Actively participate with the accreditation process
11. Other duties as assigned
This position is located on our Roosevelt Campus and will primarily focus on and assist with running the College Cafe.
This is a non-benefited position. Part-Time position, working up to 29 hours in a week.
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-3:00pm, with the occasional Friday and evening for catering events.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must possess or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire a Serve Safe certification
2. Proven cooking experience, including as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook
3. Proven understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
4. Proficient in Word Processing, Outlook, Excel
5. Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent customer relations
6. Must successfully pass criminal background check
7. Valid driver’s license
