Position Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Geographic Information System (GIS) through various mapping applications.. Position supports Engineering and Operations personnel use of the system for Information and data integration, as well as supporting staff with use of electronic field devices.
Duties and Responsibilities

Supports Engineering with workflow of capital improvements to the Distribution Plant, as well as the as-building of those improvements.

Ensures proper connectivity to support Outage Management Systems (OMS). Performs post outage Quality Checks of outage data.
- May provide hardware support of tablets running GIS applications, as it relates to supporting GIS integration, and field use.
- Support, train and develop best practices for efficient use of the GIS suite

Create reports and templates
- Monitor mapping applications and databases

Stay abreast of advances in technology

Scheduling of all necessary appointments to utilize engineering forces in the most efficient manner.

Create work orders, assists in the printing of all necessary documents required in the operation of Engineering Services such as work orders, maps, and drawings.

Record mileage changes of primary and secondary monthly and total figures quarterly for accounting department.

Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in related field, OR
-
Three years related work experience
- Valid Driver's License

Previous utility experience is desired but not required.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

Computer literacy is required. (MS Software, Word, Access, Excel).
