Night Auditor – Hampton Inn Chesapeake Square
Hampton Inn Chesapeake Square is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our front office team.
This is an overnight position and is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, enjoys hospitality, has strong attention to detail, and understands that the Night Auditor is responsible for both guest service and completing the hotel's nightly financial audit.
Schedule
- Overnight shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekends and holidays are required
- Must have reliable transportation and be dependable for scheduled overnight shifts
- Schedule may vary based on business needs
What You'll Do
- Complete the hotel's nightly night audit and ensure daily financial transactions are accurate and balanced.
- Check guests in and out during overnight hours.
- Process reservations, payments, room charges, and adjustments accurately.
- Answer phones and assist guests with questions, requests, and concerns.
- Monitor the hotel and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment overnight.
- Complete required overnight reports, paperwork, and system procedures.
- Review and reconcile daily transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Communicate important guest or operational issues to management and the incoming morning team.
- Perform regular property checks and address issues appropriately.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming front desk presence throughout the shift.
- Assist with other front office and hotel duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Previous hotel front desk or Night Audit experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Comfortable working independently overnight.
- Strong computer and basic mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional appearance and communication.
- Ability to remain alert, productive, and dependable throughout an overnight shift.
- Ability to handle guest issues calmly and professionally.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
