Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of construction equipment. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly. The position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic provides the opportunity to apply advanced mechanical skills while diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment in a safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on heavy equipment.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues related to construction machinery maintenance and industrial equipment using diagnostics techniques.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all equipment serviced or repaired.
- Assist with equipment assembly, installation, calibration (including alignment), and preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
- Support heavy lifting tasks during repairs or parts replacement while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic .
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely during diagnostics or testing procedures.
- Familiarity with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and specifications for Caterpillar or similar brands.
- Certification or experience in electrical systems repair and automotive repair.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
