Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Scoop ice cream accurately and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards at all times.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions swiftly and accurately.
- Upsell additional treats or beverages to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including sanitizing utensils, counters, and equipment regularly.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and register accuracy.
- Support food preparation tasks like topping assembly and packaging to ensure quick service during busy hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to serve customers efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are highly preferred to serve diverse customer bases.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience in café or grocery store settings is advantageous for understanding food industry standards.
