Job Title: Electrical Sales & Estimator
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Electrical Sales & Estimator to join our growing team. This hybrid role bridges the gap between technical estimating expertise and proactive sales strategy. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, evaluating project specifications, creating precise cost estimates, and closing deals to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new electrical sales opportunities through client outreach, networking, and lead generation.
- Conduct on-site consultations to assess field conditions, evaluate customer needs, and recommend tailored system solutions.
- Manage the entire sales pipeline from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with general contractors, facility managers, and property owners to foster repeat business.
- Estimating & Technical Analysis:
- Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and single-line diagrams to perform accurate material and labor take-offs.
- Develop comprehensive, competitive project estimates and detailed proposals for electrical systems.
- Ensure all proposed designs and estimates align with company standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field superintendents to ensure project feasibility, scope alignment, and smooth hand-offs.
- Reporting & Administration:
- Maintain up-to-date sales pipelines, client interactions, and project statuses using CRM and estimating software.
- Prepare technical documentation, analysis reports, and professional presentations for client pitches.
- Track performance metrics and regularly report sales progress, active proposals, and market trends to leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of combined experience in estimating, technical sales, or project management within the Electrical/MEP trades.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and building codes (NEC).
- Skills: Strong blueprint reading ability, analytical problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in consultative sales and negotiation.
- Software: Proficiency with electrical estimating software, CRM systems, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
- Licensing & Travel: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job site walkthroughs and client visits.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical details into clear sales presentations.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
