Tempest Frontier Logistics LLC is an owner operator owned business, currently seeking a local Class A Tank/HazMat driver for petroleum-based deliveries right out of the Mechanicsburg, PA area. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers to deliver fuel and related products along designated local routes.
- Load, secure, and unload freight, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following all hazardous materials regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license including hazmat endorsement with a clean driving record and at least two years of commercial truck driving experience.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials handling, and safety procedures for manual handling and truck loading/unloading.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes including load & unload operations for freight such as fuel, hazardous materials, or other sensitive goods.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety compliance in accordance with DOT regulations and hazard management standards.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with truck loading/unloading and cargo securing.
