Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, and early communication
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond effectively to emergencies
- Adhere to mandated reporting laws by documenting any concerns related to child welfare or development
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements and share best practices in infant care and childhood development
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants in a daycare center or preschool setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset
- Classroom management skills tailored to infant care environments
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies suitable for young children
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid, is required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Previous babysitting or childcare experience with toddlers or infants enhances your ability to connect with young learners
