Education & experience: High school diploma or equivalent required, with at least one year of industrial experience; specific inspection experience is not necessary.

Attention to detail & analytical skills: Exceptional attention to detail and consistent adherence to established protocols, with strong analytical abilities to interpret standards and evaluate equipment thoroughly.

Documentation & technical skills: Strong documentation abilities, basic computer skills for data entry and report generation, and proficiency using precision measurement tools.

Mechanical aptitude: Basic understanding of industrial equipment components and their functions, though the role isn't focused on heavy repairs.

Mobility & physical strength: Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairs, operate scissor or boom lifts at height, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work environment adaptability: Comfort working in confined spaces, around industrial equipment, and over uneven terrain, with good visual acuity in varied lighting conditions.

Travel requirement: Valid driver's license required for regional travel to customer sites.

Comprehensive inspections: Examine crane systems and components according to industry standards and regulations, identifying deficiencies with precision.

Technical interpretation: Translate technical standards and regulatory requirements into practical inspection protocols that ensure compliance and safety.

Analysis & documentation: Assess the severity and impact of deficiencies, documenting findings in detailed inspection reports that support maintenance planning and meet regulatory requirements.

Preventative maintenance: Perform lubrication, fastener checks and tightening, and basic adjustments according to maintenance schedules to extend equipment life.

Inventory support: Help monitor maintenance supplies and parts to ensure availability for planned activities.

Team collaboration: Share detailed findings with service technicians to facilitate efficient repairs, learning from experienced staff while contributing observational insights.
