Oversee ALL aspects of Garden Center operations. Must have at least 5 years of experience, industry certifications and aspire to become an owner.
Duties include customer service; hire and train new employees; manage staff; maintain safe conditions for customers and staff; select inventory including plants, products and equipment; oversee plant care and facility maintenance; identify and treat diseased plants; maintain records; ensure displays are seasonally appropriate and well kept; receive inventory; create work plans; ability to effectively problem-solve and resolve customer issues.
Position requires attention to detail, organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced environment. Should be open to learn about financials, budgeting, HR and all other skills required to operate a successful Garden Center.
