Overview
Ben's Pretzels is bringing our mobile pretzel trailer to Cornbelly's Fall Festival this season, and we're looking for a Mobile Unit Manager to lead the show! If you love a fast-paced, festival atmosphere and want to be the person running the show behind Utah's favorite soft pretzel, this is for you.
In this dynamic role, you will lead the operation and management of our mobile unit, ensuring seamless execution of festival activities. Your energetic leadership will drive team performance, uphold exceptional guest experiences, and oversee all operational aspects of the mobile units. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your management skills while contributing to a memorable community event.
What You'll Do
As Mobile Unit Manager, you'll be the shift lead for our two-person trailer team, responsible for:
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and oversee the daily operations of the mobile unit
- Making fresh pretzel dough from scratch
- Rolling and baking pretzels throughout the shift
- Running the register and handling customer orders
- Setting up and cleaning up/closing the trailer
- Keeping the trailer organized, stocked, and running smoothly
Schedule
- 2 weekdays, 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Fridays and Saturdays, all day 1 day, partial day the other
- Approximately 30 hours/week
- Seasonal run: September–October, with the possibility of continuing afterward (hours would depend on mobile unit bookings)
What We're Looking For
- Experience supervising staff in fast-paced environments (preferred but not required)
- Must be 18 or older
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) a Utah Food Handler's Permit
- Able to stand for extended periods
- A natural leader who can keep a small team on track during busy rushes
- Someone who thrives in a fun, high-energy, fast-paced environment
